• Ketchup month is underway

    September is Ketchup Month at OKC First. Our goal this year is $120,000, helping us catch up financially and strengthen our cash flow as we head into the fall.


    But Ketchup Month is about more than reaching a number. It’s an invitation to consider how we respond with gratitude to the grace we have received and to the community God continues to form among us. We’ve worshiped, gathered around tables, served our neighbors, cared for one another, and discovered again that life together is worth it. We were not made to do this alone.


    For some, participating may mean catching up on giving. For others, it may mean making an additional gift. For all of us, it’s an opportunity to prayerfully consider how we respond to God’s generosity toward us. You can give to Ketchup Month here: my.simplegive.com/App/Giving/okcfirst

  • Plains of Peace fundraiser at bj's restaurant

    Enjoy dinner and help support Plains of Peace Pastoral Retreat Center! Join us at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse on Tuesday, September 15 from 5:00–9:00 PM at 2425 W. Memorial Road.

  • Save the Date: September at OKC First

    September is shaping up to be a full month of connection, community, and opportunities to be together. Here are a few dates to get on your calendar now:

    On Tuesday, September 15, we’ll support Plains of Peace Pastoral Retreat Center with a fundraiser at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse. It’s an easy way to share a meal and support a ministry that provides space for rest and renewal for pastors and ministry leaders.

    Then Sunday, September 20 will be a full day at OKC First. During morning worship, we’ll celebrate Connection Sunday: Find Your Fit, highlighting some of the many ways to connect, serve, and find your place in the life of our church. That evening at 6:00 PM, we’ll head to Wheeler Park for an all-church gathering, creating space to simply be together as a church community.

    We’ll share more about each of these events soon. For now, save the dates and plan to join us!

  • Disciple Bible Study

    The Bible is more than a collection of individual stories and verses. It tells the sweeping story of God and God’s people, and we understand that story best when we explore it together.

    Beginning Wednesday, September 9, Disciple Bible Study will take us on a journey through Scripture, giving us an opportunity to engage the biblical story deeply, wrestle with theology, ask questions, and discover how Scripture continues to shape the way we follow Jesus and live in the world. Disciple has long emphasized personal engagement with Scripture alongside meaningful conversation in community.

    Along the way, we’ll also explore many of the theological convictions and practices that shape who we are at OKC First. Just as importantly, we’ll get to know one another as we learn, listen, and grow together.

    Whether you’ve studied the Bible for years or simply want to understand it more deeply, there is room for you in the conversation.

    We're excited to continue enhancing interactivity, connection, and care for our online congregation.  This new platform, pastored by Rev. Joel Dyer, offers added features to support and strengthen our online community and church family. Let's worship together and continue building community, both online and in person!

    🌍Matthew and Hannah are embarking on an incredible journey to minister in Spain, with specific focus and care for refugees and immigrants. They are in the Visa process to enter Spain and last stretch of fundraising for the remaining $20,000.

  • zambia partnership - LUKA International foundation

    We have been partnering with Zambia since 2009. Pastor Jon gave us an update in the April 28th service - Do you know that we support two community schools of over 1,500 students? The OKC First non-profit Luka supports the Maanu Mbwami and Kanyama schools.The needs continue in Zambia, as 40% of children experience malnutrition. You are a generous church!  This is our work to do. Please join us.
